Since starting on this journey, Aztec Threads has evolved and grows in strength, passion and love for design and creating. Karen’s love of colour can be seen in her passion for textiles, art, mixed media and abstract painting and you can see this on her blog

Inspire to Create, we are passionate about being creative , and have a vision to share our creativity. Creative sewing, textile art mixed media, fun with paints are just some of the many workshops at Edenbridge Kent. If you happen to be looking for creative products that are just that little bit different, we offer inspirational threads, diverse fabrics in a swathe of vibrant colours, and many other must have goodies for your projects. Along with our innovative workshops, snippet videos and storyboards to help you along this new and wonderful journey you are about to take.

We have an amazing collection of Isacord Threads from Amann Germany we do not have all the colours yet but we are trying but considering there is in the region of 390 in just plain colours alone!!!! These threads can be used with your sewing machine, embroidery machine, overlocker even a  long arm quilting machine. Other threads we stock are Madiera, Gutermann, Moon etc.

As already mentioned I have a love and passion for colour and Textile Art so always on the look out for unusual threads for both machine and hand stitching. These threads can be used for cross stitch to hand quilting not forgetting tapestry and textile art of course

There are so many different threads so are more suited than others to certain applications from dressmaking to creative sewing.

We even have a tantalising assortment of Textile Art Threads.

As if you have not already realised we are very passionate about threads but of course we use lots of other wonderful craft products in our creations from diverse fabrics, buttons, beads, ribbons, braids, cords the list is endless….

Another project that we are striving to work hard on this year is to encourage more of us to upcycle as much of our textile waste as possible and to the end in the studio we have a room full of preloved and upcycled fabric. Plus we have a own collection called “Carousel” that is a range of buttons and beads that have been sorted and repackaged into packs for you to give them a second life by creating a brand new creative item with them
